RedSn0w 0.9.10b3 has been released few moments ago, which is the Untethered Jailbreak For iOS 5.0.1 with Bugs Fixed. However, it became apparent that running this new version of Redsn0w on top of an already jailbroken device would cause any apps that used MobileSubstrate to stop working. If this has happened to you, you can simply reinstall MobileSubstrate and reboot your device, otherwise Redsn0w 0.9.10b3 will fix the issue for you as well. RedSnow0.9.10b3 supports for iPhone3GS, iPhone4, iPhone4-CDMA, iPad1, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch but still you have to wait for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 untethered. You can Download RedSn0w 0.9.10b3 for Windows and Mac now. If you have iOS 5.0/5.1 then please update your iOS to 5.0.1 and RedSnow 0.9.10 beta3 is the untether solution for you.
Dev Team Release Notes
Update #3: The b3 version of redsn0w fixes a problem where re-running redsn0w over an existing jailbreak would cause MobileSubstrate-based apps to stop running until MS was installed again. Now you can re-run the redsn0w jailbreak step without worrying about that (but still remember to de-select the “Install Cydia” option if it’s already installed).
TIP: If auto-detection fails and redsn0w tells you no identifying data was found, you can always pre-select the appropriate 5.0.1 IPSW using “Extras->Select IPSW”.
